Swap Sites

Are you looking for something but don’t really want to spend the money for it? Maybe you have items laying around your house that you don’t need any more. Or maybe you are good at painting a room, but what you really need done is some plumbing work in your bathroom. Swap sites can help you to find the services you need, either for a price or for a trade.

Using swap sites you can find the book you have been looking for, find the CD you wanted but couldn’t afford or even trade homes and cars. More and more swap sites are showing up around the internet to help people connect and trade items or services. Check out some of the sites listed below:

Swap @ Home

This site gives you “coupons” to shop with. You earn 5 coupons when you sign up and list five items you want to trade. You earn more coupons whenever someone wants an item you have posted. The advantage to this site is that you do not need to wait until someone wants an exact trade with you. Any member on the site can want your item and you can shop from all the items other people have posted.

U Swap It

This site allows you to add items you want and list what you would like in return. You can post books, CDs, DVDs, video games, electronics or anything else you would like to trade. The site also has a live swap where you can make immediate trades. You are also able to put in your zip code to limit your swapping to your local area.

SwapTree.com

This site is specifically for trading books, music, DVDs and video games. When you post an item, you will immediately find out what you can receive in trade for that item. It also allows you to print the postage for shipping directly from your computer.  If there is something you want, you also see immediately what items you can trade to receive that item.

U-Exchange.com

On this site, you can trade services, products or anything else you can think of. You can ask if someone is able to work on your car in exchange for gardening at their house. Whatever you have to offer, you can trade. Because many people exchange services, this site allows you to search locally.
