Website Of the Month
This month’s
website is a site designed to help kids read and enjoy
reading. Book
Adventure is a free site that provides a list of
over 7000 recommended books for children between
Kindergarten and 8th grade.
Once a child
finishes reading a book, they log on to the site and
take a multiple choice quiz about the book. They earn
points for taking quizzes and can redeem the points
for prizes.
The site can be
used by teachers, to track the entire class, or by
parents to help encourage their children to read.
Book lists are
searchable by age, reading level and type of book.
The site was
developed by Sylvan Learning Center.
